all i’ve ever learned from love …

Leonard Cohen is a gentlemen. The kind, who wears and suit and a hat. Which he raises from his head, in a sign of respect. A kind that will mean less and less in the days to come.
In little more than two and a half hours of playing, he turned Belgrade’s Arena, which is essentially a sports ground, into an intimate club. In which poetry is the most important thing in the world. Where love, loss, sadness and hope are not just grand words, devoid of meaning, like on a greeting card or in a sugary pop song, but a life-worth ideal. Where speaking about God does not have anything to do with religion, but faith.
Leonard Cohen’s music is featured in one of my favourite films, where the usage of his songs makes the film even more special. I share its sad and wonderfully beautiful end with you.
